D. Bijlsma Amsterdam’s webslings are manufactured to EN1492-2:2000 from high tenacity polyester webbing treated and coated for increased resistance to abrasion and durability. They are colour coded for w.l.l. and have a 7:1 factor of safety.

Webslings are extremely light in weight and kind to the user and yet have a greater strength to weight ratio than other types of lifting slings.

DBA’s slings are used extensively for many different load handling conditions and environments no matter how adverse. They will not damage polished or fragile surfaces and will exert less pressure than rope at the point of contact with the load.

Identification

All D.Bijlsma Amsterdam’s slings are labeled with the w.l.l and unique reference number for traceability in addition to the w.l.l in all the various lifting modes. We are also able to additionally bar-code labels for speed of identification and recording of information through special scanners, which may then be downloaded Direct to a computer. The webbing itself may also be printed with customer details if required.

Options

Reinforced becket eyes come as standard for all duplex and simplex slings, however reversed eyes or flat eyes are also available if the application requires. When lifting heavy loads, steel end plates are recommended and these are available either reevable or non-reevable.

For enhanced sling protection and longer life, the slings may be coated either on one or both sides in polyurethane or fitted with wear-sleeves.

• Type of sling required (i.e. flat web, 3 strand fibre etc.)
• Material from which sling is made
• Effective or circumferential length (must state which)
• Eye type (i.e. becketed if flat web or thimble if fibre rope)
• Any other information pertinent to the use or application to which the sling shall be put.
